Warning
to All Readers: Electronic searches on Amazon and other e-bookstores
may incorrectly list other authors' works as mine. This is something
neither I nor my publisher can control. Any new book from me will
be listed on this site.
Any
"new" Stephanie Laurens' book will be front and center
on this website - if a title is not listed in the Booklist, not
shown on the Release Schedule page (link above) as upcoming, and
it is not a reissue from Harlequin, then it is not a book of mine.

STEPHANIE'S
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER... Direct from the writer's desk!
May
1 , 2013
Autumn
is here, one of my favorite times of the year, and this year the
colors seem especially intense. My garden is a rich palette of trees
in various shades of red, orange, and gold - just lovely!
I
hope you've all enjoyed Henrietta and James's romance in AND THEN
SHE FELL, and are just waiting to learn what Mary gets up to. Or,
more pertinently, Ryder! Lots more fun and drama to come at the
end of June, when THE TAMING OF RYDER CAVANAUGH is released.
Until
then, I have a special treat for those reading e-books - The World
of Stephanie Laurens booklet has been completely updated, and it
now has proper Family Trees - readable ones! Indeed, on my iPad
they are even expandable! And best of all, the booklet is totally
FREE. And yes, it's available globally, on most if not all major
e-book stores. If the links on the Home page don't work for you
(I can never be sure anymore!), just search in your region's e-bookstores
and it should pop up.
Even
if you don't have an e-reader, you can easily download it by getting
the relevant e-bookstore app for your computer.
By
now, all those lucky readers who scored a signed autographed copy
of the e-booklet at the recent live video chat should have received
your signed copies - I emailed out the last of them last week! Quite
an experience, signing a page in an e-book just as if it was a printed
book - very cool - and thanks to the Autography.com people for ironing
out the wrinkles.
And
there's another, 15 min or so audio interview on Blackstone Audio's
website - you can listen, or read a transcript. To access it, click
HERE.
The
Cynster Quiz is still up. If you haven't had a giggle over which
Cynster female character you're most like, give it a whirl? Purely
just for fun! Answer five easy questions, and the quiz will reveal
which of 5 Cynster female characters you most resemble! Find the
Cynster Quiz at: http://snapp.to/Y0sMRn
And
then, before you know it, Mary's
book,
THE TAMING OF RYDER CAVANAUGH, will be released on June 25.
The
cover, blurb, buy/preorder links, and Chapter 1 excerpt are now
up on this site. Email newsletter subscribers have already read
this excerpt, and will receive a second exclusive extended excerpt
(which will not appear on the website) in the Almost Summer Newsletter
on May 15 - so if you've finished reading AND THEN SHE FELL and,
understandably, you want to know what Mary does next, but
have yet to sign up for the email newsletter...well,
the link to sign up is toward the top of the column to the left.
Free, easy-peasy, and the list is totally private.
Once
again I have to sound a warning - I've had numerous readers in the
US email, disappointed that they could not find printed copies of
AND THEN SHE FELL in their usual outlets. This is because, sadly,
those outlets are ordering fewer copies - not just of mine but of
all books they stock - and so they run out very quickly, and these
days they do not replenish. Many readers had to turn to online stores
to order, and then had to wait for the books to arrive. Don't get
caught. If you can't be certain your store will have a copy, preorder,
either in your local bookstore or online.
The
second in the Barnaby Adair series is now in and done. No title
as yet, but, of course, the story brings back Barnaby and Penelope,
and Stokes and Griselda, as all four come together to aid Heathcote
Montague, the Cynsters' man of business, to solve a mystery that
starts with an old lady finding too much money in her bank account.
And
now...I'm working on rehabilitating Malcolm Sinclair. Yes, he is
back, but he's quite a different man, in many different ways. His
book will follow Montague's.
You
might also see new covers shortly for the BastionClub e-books -
more on that next month.
And
in between everything else, I have finally made moves to
get my new website design happening - the build is on, but as this
is, in fact, a very large site, with so many book pages, plus, of
course, the new and wonderful family trees (with all the children
to 1837!), that it will take a few months more, but it should be
worth the wait.
SO WHAT'S COMING UP NEXT? AND WHEN?
Following
Henrietta', and Mary's stories, both out this year, we will have
2 re-issues of novellas not previously available in digital (or
as stand-alones), and possibly something new and very different,
too, to help you get through the long months until the first half
of next year brings the 2nd and 3rd Casebook of Barnaby Adair novels.
The 2nd Casebook novel will include the romance of Heathcote Montague,
the Cynsters' man-of-business, while the 3rd Casebook novel sees
the long-awaited return of Malcolm Sinclair. After that...well,
as you'll see once you reach the Epilogue of Mary's book, the Cynsters
aren't in any danger of fading away just yet.
