Warning to All Readers: Electronic searches on Amazon and other e-bookstores may incorrectly list other authors' works as mine. This is something neither I nor my publisher can control. Any new book from me will be listed on this site.

Any "new" Stephanie Laurens' book will be front and center on this website - if a title is not listed in the Booklist, not shown on the Release Schedule page (link above) as upcoming, and it is not a reissue from Harlequin, then it is not a book of mine.

NINC BLAST:

Novelists Inc (NINC) is an organization devoted to the needs of genre fiction authors. NINC has launched a new monthly newsletter for readers, booksellers and librarians, to alert them to the new releases of author-members, along with a "Did you know?" feature with tantalizing little-known factoids about some of your most favorite authors.

To subscribe to NINC BLAST, go to www.ninc.com, scoll down to the middle of the screen to the Let Ninc Blast You notice, click on the pale blue envelope and follow the prompts.

February 1 , 2012.

Yes, it's out there! THE CAPTURE OF THE EARL OF GLENCRAE has hit the shelves, physically and digitally, and somewhat unsurprisingly, my mind is rather dominated by the event. These two characters were stubborn, even in the writing, and I had to metaphorically speaking arm-wrestle them into obliging and allowing me to get their story down in a succinct and comprehensible form. I hope you enjoy their adventures. It was a special treat to be able to bring the trilogy to a cohesive end - I hope you enjoy the final scenes!

It's hot and muggy here, and I've had to curtail my work today on Roscoe's story - not the writing of it, that's done, but the polishing. It's got to the point where courtesy of the heat my mind isn't as incisive as it needs to be. Once again, these two characters need a firm hand. I'm hoping the next couples whose books I write prove less obstreporous!

There are very few animals or birds out just at the moment - the temperature's too high - but there were kangaroos about this morning, white ibis wandering the fringes of the pond, and our herd of wild ducks were cropping the grassy areas. I can tell that a wallaby must have been around early - he's nibbled some of my roses, the beast! Like humans, animals just flop when it gets too hot. Luckily, this won't last - rain tomorrow and much lower temperatures.

Now...on to the books!

As mentioned, THE CAPTURE OF THE EARL OF GLENCRAE, the grand finale of the Cynster Sisters Trilogy, is on the shelves now! I truly loved the cover - the look on her face was perfect and this girl was as close to Angelica as could be. Well, perhaps her hair might have been redder and brighter, but otherwise, perfect.

NOTE: at the back of the book, beyond the end of the trilogy, you'll find THE WEDDING PLANNER, a short story I wrote for the anthology Royal Weddings, released last April as an e-book for the British royal wedding. A little gift for those who haven't read it. Enjoy!

For those with new e-readers who haven't yet indulged, there are several e-book novella reissues (see the Release Schedule page), at very good prices, most available globally for USD 0.99 (or equivalent). And there are two more novellas to come - see the Home page, and the list below, for details.

Sadly, our major overhaul of this web site has had to be put back somewhat, but I'm hoping to have the new look ready for launching prior to releasing the next book in Fall 2012, but we'll see - these things take time, and I'd rather get new features (like the new family trees and maps!) right before we launch.

SO WHAT'S COMING UP NEXT?

In October 2012 (end of September release date), we'll have Neville Roscoe's story. There will be more about this book on this site on June 1, 2012. That will be followed by the stories of the last two Cynster girls - Henrietta, and then Mary - in 2013. Following those will come the 2nd and 3rd Casebook of Barnaby Adair novels, the first of which will include the romance of Heathcote Montague, the Cynsters' man of buisness, and the second will see the return of Malcolm Sinclair. Both those volumes are likely to come your way in 2014. After that...we're already talking about which of the Cynster children to do, when and how, so no, the Cynsters aren't in any danger of fading away just yet.
